Rates and methods

Working with texts requires attention and finesse. The perfect approach for one text may be useless for the next. That’s why I prefer to quote a total price per document up front. That’s a win for everyone: you and I know where we stand, and your text gets treated in the way that’s best for it.

I’ll gladly send you a quote. For that, I need:

  • Your text, or at least a representative sample of it, and the total number of words
  • A short description of what you need (translation, (ghost)writing, proofreading, advice) and of your intended audience
  • Your preferred deadline

Contact me if you have any questions or would like to request a quote.

How this works

If you have decided you want me to work with you, please drop me a line through e-mail or my contact form.

If you’re looking for any type of copyediting or translation, please tell me the number of words in your original text, or send me the document in an attachment. If you are looking for text development or copywriting, please tell me a little about your project, who you are, what your main ideas are, and who your intended audience is!

In all cases, I’ll get back to you as soon as possible with a time estimate and an offer. If you want to know more about a specific service, please click on its title.

Payment options

You can pay by Paypal or bank transfer (easiest within the Netherlands, possible for those outside of the Netherlands). Please notify me what payment method you prefer, and I will invoice you through that method.

For projects I bill by the word, you can pay when I deliver the finished project. For larger projects, especially copywriting, I might ask for a percentage upfront to cover the bills during the time I work with you. For all types of projects, I will estimate the total price in advance, and discuss with you what will be included in that price.

Of course, you’re always welcome to add to the project once it’s started. Decrease of scope will be accommodated where possible – if I’ve already done the work, I will of course have to charge for that part.
